Our Letter E Week

We follow TotSchool activities…

We started with a letter E glue and paste images. Just wrote a big letter E on a paper and then cut some eyes, ears, lowercase and uppercase letter E pics from a magazine. Pinky is doing good using the glue by herself and pasting them on the paper.

Paper Plate Elephant craft

This was a fun and easy activity! Just click here to do to the web page where I found it. Just made some changes so we could practice the shapes (circles, semi-circles, square and rectangle).

Letter E is for: Elephant

This activity is from No time for flashcards. First, we painted the paper with some chalk. Then, we practiced some shapes and sizes. Finally, it turned out a cute elephant.

Counting Elephants:

Do you know the classic preschool elephant song? It goes like this:

One elephant went out to play,

Upon a spider’s web one day,

He had such enormous fun,

That he called for another elephant to come.

So, we had a great time playing with these elephants I did from an stencil and then decorated a little bit for fun. Also, I glued magnets on the back so we can use them on the fresh door.

We sang this son in Spanish, so we could practice our counting in this language. Here is a video with a great group, Cantajuegos, singing the song.

And, finally, we tried to watch the movie Dumbo, but Pinky doesn;t like to sit still for more than two minutes, lol…..I found the movie on youtube. Here’s the link is you want to watch this classic.

Body parts- Face

This one was one of Pinky’s first activities. She was 18 months old and we were learning our body parts. Here, we started with the face.

First, she was gluing the parts of the face (eyes, nose, mouth and hair) on a paper plate. I cut two small squares for the eyes, a triangle for the nose, a semi-circle for the mouth and a funny shape for the hair. While we were doing this activity we practiced shapes, colors and gluing.Marlee 18-19 mo 079

Another activity we did was gluing different faces on another paper plate. Here we had the opportunity to see some differences between the faces and woman, men, boy, girl, babies and aged people. She had too much fun gluing.

Just the best gift for a great daddy!!! Pinky’s hands and feet prints!

With a little bit of paint, some stickers, a cute face picture, and, of course, a pair of hands and feet; we made the cutest gift for daddy and Godfather, too.
