Here’s our Muffin Tin Monday, posted on Friday, since this was a busy week. Our theme was COLORS!….It was a fun meal and Pinky really loved it….you can bet that, her little face tells everything!

Happy faces potatoes, grapes, dinosaurs nuggets with blue skirts, green beans, red strawberries, orange cheese, Mickey mouse bread.

Here’s an easy pumpkin craft to do with your toddler and decorate the house….and, of course, have fun.

What do you need?

2 Paper plates

1 Orange construction paper or 2 if it is small

Black, green and brown construction paper or foam (we used this one)

Eyes, scissors and glue

How to do your pumpkin…

*Draw two circles (use the plates) on the orange paper and cut them.

*Glue the plates together.

*Glue the orange paper, each on both sides of the papers. (So you’ll have 2 pumpkins).

*With the black paper, draw some eyes, nose and mouth and glue.

*With the green paper, draw some leaves.

*With the brown paper, draw the steam.

*Finally, glue some funny eyes…….and have fun playing with your pupkim friend!

Oh no….this was really funny, at least for me….lol

I just press a button on another’s person blog and now I am following my own….jajaja…..Now I have to figure out how to stop doing such a crazy thing lol…Ok that’s me…always searching on internet and accepting almost everything without reading….lol

This remind me how I got my crock-pot or slow cooker….It was at that time that I found about FREECYCLE…(I love it by the way, but sometimes I am acting out with it)…..

Freecycle is a Yahoo group where people post things they don’t need anymore and still have some use in them….so others can get them, and like this we recycle instead of accumulate more garbage on our world….also if someone is in need of an article, they posted as wanted. If a person have it they can communicate and arrange the pick up details. “Pretty good, eh”?

So, when I found this place I got crazier, lol!

I was checking my email for new posts on freecycle every minute and accepting things and things and things. So one day somebody posted a paper shredder (I can be honest, I didn’t needed but I always wanted to have one and shred lots of papers and play- “yeah, I know, crazy?) and there I were ready to accepted. When I went to the place for picking it up (went twice, since the first time the lady wasn’t there- “persistent or acting like a kid on Christmas presents time?”) the lady was moving for a smaller apartment and asked me if I needed a CROCKPOT. “A what????, I thought”. Ok….what did I do?….I told her: “Oh thanks, I always wanted one and I was looking for one just know…” I know….I am crazy for FREE stuff, even if I don’t know what are they…lol…So…she gave me the Crockpot (I was relieved to see what was it about) and went more than happy to my home with my paper shredder and crock-pot that I got for FREE.

What did I do with them?…just saved the shredder in my closet…. -used one time to shred lots of paper and play with my daughter inside a box (yeah, a BIG mess, but it was fun) and the crock-pot went to a corner in the kitchen and….I didn’t get enough interest to find how to used after more than 6 months later….now I feel so happy for have it…..I learned to do some tasty dishes with it….

So that’s my story of how I get so easy into troubles….but it’s FUN!!

Here’s our Muffin tin Monday without the muffin tin. Since we’re near Halloween celebration, we did a Spooky Face and with the week time of shapes….My daughter love it! or maybe she was hungry, already? lol

We had: chicken flavored pasta; coleslaw salad (hair); pickles (eyes painted with blue food markers); plum tomato (nose); mozzarella cheese stick (ears and mouth).

About our shapes: hair (semi-circle); eyes (circles); nose (triangle); ears (squares with stars earrings); mouth (rectangle).

Ok….Pinky noticed the face, but I don’t think she realized about the shapes….she was really hungry……..!

I know how to use the folk, but It’s still hard…

Can you let me eat, mommy?

Ahhhhhhh…….spooky!!!

Two of a Kind, working on a full house

We did our first Halloween decoration for the apartment. It is a mini Ghost. If you ask Pinky how he does…..she says BOOOOO……I got you! jajaja…..and if you are the one saying Booo with the ghost towards her…..you will hear a huge scream…..and then she says…you scared me….jaja….She is saying complete sentences, or at least more than three words together. So cute!

Here’s how our Ghost looks like:

You just need a small white plastic bad, and a regular size bag which you are going to fold and put it inside the small bag. Them cut the handle of the small bag and use one to close it. Like that you have the ghost head. Them use a pen or marker to draw the eyes and mouth. With a scissor cut the rest of the bag into strips.

I passed a clip from one side of the head to another.

Here’s your easy, recycled and friendly ghost!

Pinky is really onto Yo Gabba Gabba. She loves to sing, dance and learn with the characters. That’s why I tried to do a file folder for her where she has the opportunity to practice her colors, counting, shapes and others with her “friends”. I used Nick Jr. website to print out the characters. Here’s the link.

Furthermore, we are sharing our activity on ABC & 123, so we will be more than happy if you have the time and see what others are doing this week. There are wonderful ideas....

I got the characters living places and use it to talk about the seasons. I will find some seasons clothes, animals, flowers, etc to use here. (As you can see I didn’t finish this one). For Pinky, it was just fine, lol. For the characters living background click here.

I am so happy to find out that my cute girl was selected on August to featured as a

Cute Tot.

 

Totally tots is a super-dee-duper blog full of awesome ideas to do with your toddler. Many of the activities and ideas I did already with Pinky are from there.

I feel so pleased to have Pinky selected as a cute tot by them. Furthermore, there are more cuties featured this month. So, please go and show others some care and love!

Last July 22, our princess turned two years old….just one day after my hip surgery. I couldn’t celebrate with her that day, just sing thousands of times the Happy Birthday song by phone. However, we were celebrating with her since one week before.

Happy Birthday my love!!!

I cannot express how much I feel for my little princess. I think any other mom feels the same way I feel when they look at their babies. Is a kind of love, magical, hopeful, peaceful, an humungous feeling that gets inside your body, mind and soul.

Just looking at her when she is sleeping, when she’s talking, dancing, “reading”, playing or interacting with other people, makes me feel so blessed. And now, she is two years old!!!! Time past too fast. I had a baby in 2008 and today I have a BIG girl….moving all around the place, dancing, talking and expressing herself….
