I LOVE Christmas Trees and how people get very enthusiastic decorating them!!! They bring family members together and memories to share and last. Our Christmas tree was a pretty tiny small one….with none expensive decorations and nothing fancy….just some Christmas erasers as ornaments (safe with a toddler), some tiny ornaments, some bows, a garland, and handmade ornaments we did this year….However, was our special littler Christmas tree….the one that light up our family nights!
Since, I LOVE Christmas trees, here are some I shoot while we were on our road trip for daddy’s interviews….

And we took a picture with the US Capitol Christmas tree which is on my cell phone since my camera’s battery past away!!!

This was the first Christmas that Pinky was aware of….so we were doing some activities to start learning about Christmas! Her favorite one is baby Jesus!!! Here is another Nativity we did from Catholic Icing. Ours wasn’t as beautiful as this but we really had fun putting it together!
She still play everywhere with them…sometimes you can find the angel on the window…the camel next to the tv….baby Jesus on the sofa….jaja….it is nice when she can play free….with out mommy feeling that she is going to brake something!!!! Also, we have lots of fun painting the pictures….and just expressing ART!!!…as you can see baby Jesus was kind of purple! This is one we have to do again next year and see how our art has been getting better!

With these cold days and now that we are stuck inside the house..uuufff!!! we wanted to bake some delicious cookies! This is really the first time I let Pinky help me on the kitchen since we don’t have too much space (2011 desire: Next apartment has to have a decent kitchen!!!). Therefore, there was mommy with an excited toddler trying to bake some cookies on a kind of box kitchen…at least the cookies were goooodddd! We tried a new recipe: Italian Sprinkle Cookies, they can have a 4 out of five stars because they were a little bit sweet for our taste….as always, my little one didn’t eat them!..Oh boy! She doesn’t like candies or sweet things! Bad or good?
As you can see, that’s my WHOLE kitchen: a rectangular shaped one!
Oh!!! I will be very nice and a good girl: please all I want is a BIG kitchen!

We didn’t have holiday sprinkles so mommy took some orange colored from Halloween and mixed with green and red coloring food…and aqui esta: Green and red!
Here is Pinky TRYING very HARD to taste one cookie….which she ended giving it to me!!!
As soon as daddy got back to the house he got hit by lots of cookies….she was so excited and proud of herself!!! Maybe some day she can bake cookies for mommy!!! In the meantime we have to practice a lot!

On these frizzing days, I DO NOT like to go outside!!! Therefore, we are having fun with some activities I put together for Pinky from different EXCELLENT places as is Musings of ME blog with the Christmas shape task cards! I really LOVE this blog and ALL her amazing activities….This time we are practicing shapes! Just chose a card and tried to rebuild the picture using the shapes….
At first, Pinky was having some problems following my instructions, but after some practice, she got it and here is our result!

We started on the mat but the cards moved too much (I laminated them) and she got frustrated, so we decided to use the floor. Much better!

This is how we my daughter is having fun with her sensory tub experience! And how mommy is getting crazy learning about HOLIDAY PACIENCE AND LOVE!!!
First: Grab your materials-
1- A bored toddler!!
2- Some Frosty Snow
3- A tub and LOTS of Christmas Holiday things, even minty smelly potpourri….put everything together!
Second: Leave it so your toddler can do her mess have his/her sensory-exploring time!
Third: Now you can feel great before the heart attack!!!
You are HELPING and giving FUN to your bundle of joy! Relax….but DO NOT think about leaving your angel all by herself, even if you HAVE to go……or…..
Fourth: Ok, I hope you had some relaxing minutes because….you left her ALONE and now: SURPRISE!!
Fifth: RELAX!!!! Breath veeeeeeeerrrrry deeeeepppp…..you were doing great and she had a blast shouting…It’s snowing!!! WEEE!!! (even when she was INSIDE the house….A little strange, no???
So…what to do now?….just take your camera and shoot a MEMORABLE moment on your toddler life….and then….start to clean up just to hear your angel with a hair full of “snow” telling you: Wao mommy, GOOD job!
At least, you can take this as a LEARNING moment and an excuse to teach some Practical life with- Now, help mommy to clean up the whole living room!
