Puddles!!!

Pinky LOVES the rain but puddles are her favorites! However, which kid doesn’t likes puddles??….they are fun and messy!!! This is really a free toy!

A few days ago we had a truly Spring weather with rain, puddles and a nice temperature!!! And there was Pinky: begging mommy to go outside and play with that HUGE puddle on our parking lot….or it was almost a Lake???

Here is how Pinky plays:

It reminds me when I was a kid and my siblings and I where so happy whenever it rained so we could go outside and get ALL wet!!!! It is a PRICELESS memory….!!!

Do we need video games??????   I don’t think so!

New best friend Wally (ScareMeNot)

A few weeks ago we won a Giveaway (ooppsss I forgot from where- sorry!) for a ScareMeNot monster…so we welcomed home our new best friend and house pet Wally! I was surprised of how fast we received the package after we won. After Pinky opened the box, she was in love with the very colorful and unique monster. Ever since that moment you can see Wally everywhere: at bed sleeping next to Pinky, next to the car seat while we are driving around and while we were visiting some friends (this time was the sensation with ALL the kids, they were attracted to his loooong tail, and the hole instead of a nose- the favorite one was putting his tail thru the hole…lol…hard time for Pinky to share her new and fav toy but she did a great job letting the kids playing for a few minutes with it!). Here are some pictures of Watchdog Wally and Pinky:

Wally with a coat!!!

It is such a great toy!!! I can hear Pinky having conversations with Wally, putting him to sleep, feeding him or just hugging him….and know there aren’t more “ghost” around…(that was Pinky’s excuse to doesn’t go to sleep!)

Visit ScareMeNot.com and see all the other cute little monster that are available…I’ll like all of them!!!

Really recommend this product….

So far, we are organizing our stuffs inside boxes and the apartment is a huge mess…..We are moving in a few days and, although, I am so happy for the new place (with 3 playgrounds on-walking distance an a great balcony for our mommy-daughter time and future flowers-vegetables pots) I hate all the moving process. In the meantime, we have been collecting leaves (all kind of shapes and sizes) and learning about birds, flowers, gardens. I’m hoping to post anytime soon!

Montessori and Workboxes

It seems like we had too many school activities every week but I found that everything can be well organized on our school corner mixing the Montessori trays with the Workboxes system. This mix really suits us because:

  • We don’t have a comfortable prepared school room (rented apartment)
  • Just have one child always besides mommy looking for what I am doing
  • Pinky loves to have different options available
  • Mommy doesn’t have to think to much in order to come up with an activity
  • Mommy can have a better idea with what Pinky worked already
  • Better organization and more space available
  • Sanity for mommy: Don’t see her beautiful trays are over the place

Here is an idea of how we mixed some kind of Montessori activities with the Workboxes:

There you can see our homeschool corner (excellent for the two of us; doesn’t take too much space and everything is in its place)

So far, it is great!!!!
